Join university housing queues the moment you have an offer, and treat private listings with healthy scepticism \u2014 deposit scams target new arrivals.<\/p>\n<h2>The registration chain<\/h2>\n<p>Countries differ, but the pattern is similar: you register your address, which unlocks a personal number, which unlocks a bank account, which unlocks almost everything else.
